    Parker is potty trained!
We started the process New Years day and he had it down in half a day. Now he is going pee on his own and poops with my help. I am so happy for him! Miller says "no" a lot but is very happy and learning new words every day. Yippeee skippy, just one kid in diapers!

Miller is talking now. His first words were: sippy (as in sippy cup), mama, dada, ball, shooooes (he loves going out), baby (from his favorite book "I'm not a Baby", and poo poo. Parker had his third birthday party and we went trick-or-treating with his friends. We all had a blast but there is still way too much candy around the house. He tells people he is 16 which makes us all laugh pretty hard. Parker was Spiderman and Miller was Superman for Halloween.

Parker loves preschool and he goes three mornings a week. His teachers, Ms. Gonzales and Mrs. Lalli say he is so well behaved and they love having him around. He has a thing for Mrs. Lalli and she always gets hugs and kisses goodbye (she is very cute). Miller knows where Parker's class is they run to the door together and he likes carrying Parker's lunch box for him. Poor Miller gets drug around with me running errands while Parker is at school. They play together all the time now, and they can fight too. They are on the same eating/sleeping schedule which means I steal a nap a few times a week too. They are both happy and healthy!

Aahh, they are getting so big. Miller takes a few walking steps now but crawls when he has to get somewhere fast. He has curly hair in the back and I get tempted to cut it but Paul keeps me from doing it. His eczema is getting so much better and is almost gone except for a few spots. Miller loves playing at the park and the sandbox is his favorite. Parker still hates getting his hands dirty and sits on the side of the sandbox and plays with his trucks in the sand, but Miller sits in the big piles of sand and throws it in the air and buries his feet in it. He gets dunked in the tub after very park day because he get so much sand in his hair and diaper. They could not be more different when it comes to getting dirty.

Parker's favorite phrases now are: "I'll be right back" "sure" and "I want to do it by myself" He loves getting his haircut, which we did today, and going to the barn with me. I have to sneak out of the house with my riding clothes so he doesn't get upset when I go without him. He knows all the grandparents, aunt and uncles and cousins by name. He asks when he gets to go to school and asks to go "to work with Daddy and Kenneth" every morning. he comes in our bed every morning and often snoozes with us until he gets hungry. He hates the wind because he thinks the wind is talking to him (it is pretty loud in their room) and lightning scares him too. He talks to Miller like he understands and they still love sharing a room. They are the best!

Melisssa:  I didn't realize that Miller has blue? eyes? I just noticed. Your kids are absolutely adorable. Such a combination of the two of you. Can not wait to see you and the kids. We will plan some fun Fall activities, so let me know what days you are free. Or, we can play it by ear, too! Miss you so much.

Miller is almost walking. He stands up and claps, which is harder than walking, but oh well. Parker and Miller wrestle with each other and anyone who will join in. Miller is very opinionated already, has mini-tantrums when I take something away that he wants, and pushes Parker out of the way when he needs to. But he is also such a snuggle bug, always ready for a hug and a book. Parker's favorites are riding horses at the barn, Music Together class and seeing the fish tank they have, and eating sweets. Aaahh, he has some DeLong in him. Parker sleeps in a twin bed now and waked us up by coming into the room and asking Daddy to "scootch over" so he can get in. It's the best.

I put Miller in his play area for tummy time today and lo and behold, he turned himself over. Basically, I am in trouble now and he'll be wiggling around any day. Did Parker roll over this early? I can't remember, but Miller seems to be quite motivated to get moving.

We have been home for two weeks with little Miller and everything is going great. Yes, we are sleep deprived, but it hasn't really set in yet so we are still okay. Parker loves his baby brother; he loves poking his face, patting his head and trys feeding him milk from the sippy cup. Paul has been home these two weeks and it's been wonderful having him home. The grandparents, Joanna, and Kenneth and Dale visited while we were in the hospital which worked out great for Parker and us; Parker had many fun people to play with and I didn't worry about him and rested well in the hopital.

Miller was born at 8:59am Friday morning. He weighed 7lbs 7oz, 19 in long, head circ. 14in (we always have big heads). At his one week check up he was back to his birth weight and came in at 25% in each percentile category, very nicely proprotioned (quite a change from Parker's 90%). Thanks to everyone for their phone calls, gifts and visits. It is an exciting and tiring time, and we wouldn't trade it for anything.

Parker is running and we can hardly keep up. His vocab words now include Mama and Dada, doggie, kitty cat, horsey and Aubree (his babysitter). We are having baby #2 on Friday, April 13th, just 5 more days. All the grandparents will be visiting over that weekend to play with Parker and meet the new one. We can't wait! Parker now weighs a whopping 27lbs and I really shouldn't carry him as much as I do, seeing as I'm about to pop. And yes, I am still on the hunt for the perfect double stroller. Any suggestions?

Parker has taken his first steps. He started his adventures by walking between Paul and me, and now he is holding my finger and walking down the block. Before we know it, he'll be running and we'll never catch up.

I am pregnant with #2! I am 11 weeks along and sick as a dog. Hopefully only one more week of nausea and wanting to nap all the time. I am due April 20 so Parker and the new one will be 18 months apart. Yes, I might not surface for a few months after the birth, but it will be fun and we are so excited. Kenneth and Dale put their order in for a blonde girl, so I'm working on it. Yippeee, more babies!

So, Parker's first tooth came in Friday. I wondered why he was so cranky. After holding him all day I rubbed his gums to check the tooth status and lo and behold, a bottom tooth was poking out of his gums. Ahh, and to think we have years of teething left, this is just the beginning. Go Parker, go.
